- The Steelhead Weight Calculator -

A neat tool for those looking for a very close approximation of the weight of a released steelhead. The calculator uses the standard accepted formula of weight estimation that is found to be very accurate to actual weights when tested against fish weighed on certified scales.

To use the calculator, simply enter the length in inches from the tip of the nose to the center of the tail of your fish and use the girth of the fish as measured just in front of the dorsal fin.

Built like a king, 43 inches length with a 25 inch girth, a 34.7 pound steelhead.

When measuring your fish, please remember to use a soft tape and try to keep the fish in the water ...

the time a fish spends out of the water is about the same as you spending time under the water!
